On My Wish List(4): Creatura by Nely Cab

Thursday, April 19, 2012
I found out about this book on Carti Alese's Blog and my first impression: that cover!!!
It has this cover that is part creepy (in a good way) and part fairy tale and you just can't stay away. I had to read the synopsis of the book and checked GoodReads. This book has so many positive reviews that now I want it too. (I hope it will also be published in Romania)

When seventeen year-old Isis Martin is having trouble sleeping due to perturbing dreams of a horrific growling beast, she decides to confront her fear. But what Isis discovers is something other than a menacing entity. The human-like creature offers Isis assurance that he is not a figment of her imagination. Unwilling to accept his avowal, Isis sets his words to contest by asking the entity to prove himself - a dare, he readily welcomes. It is in her dreams that Isis innocently stumbles upon the silent existence of the divine lineage of those that man has long forgotten. In a quaint town, deep in south Texas, this story leads Isis onto the path of impermissible love and captivating life-changing truths. Ultimately, Isis discovers that this chapter in her life is only the beginning.

Vampire Diaries Returns

Wednesday, April 18, 2012
So CW TV has this habit of torturing the fans of a TV Show by taking long and warm breaks right when you want more. But, wait no more because the last four episodes of The Vampire Diaries will come right on schedule and will say goodbye, at least until fall, to our favorite drama/fantasy show.

And because I wanted to be sure with the schedule thing, IMDB was kind enough to list us the last four episodes of season 3 and their release date.

New in Books - On Fire: A Teen Wolf Novel by Nancy Holder

Monday, April 16, 2012
Based on the hit MTV series "Teen Wolf"--a teenage boy's life changes forever after he's bitten by a werewolf.Scott was just a regular guy until one bite changed his life. Now he struggles to understand who he is and what he might become. Is he more wolf than human--or is it the other way around? Whichever it is, it's not going to be easy. Scott tries to control his urges, but mostly he's scared that it's his urges that could end up controlling him." On Fire "is the story of what happens when you to walk the line between what you want and what you can't help from wanting. Will the bite end up being a gift? Or will it be a curse? And what will it all mean for Scott's relationship with Allison--the girl he can't get enough of? Only time will tell if he should embrace his new found powers, or if he should fear them.
I always loved this picture in the TV Show's Poster and I am more than happy that I could have a chance to have it printed in a book. Also it is a cheaper alternative to the Tv Show story. I think I will order it. What about you?

J.K. Rowling unveils her new book

Thursday, April 12, 2012
So yes is true, J.K. Rowling finally revealed the Title, Synopsis and Release Date of her new novel for adults. I am sure that all the Harry Potter fans were anxious to know more about it, but now I am just curious if the fans of the serie swill also like this kind of novel.
The new book by J.K. Rowling is called The Casual Vacancy and it will be release on September 27th with a total of 480 pages.
Synopsis:
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.
Seemingly an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.
Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems.
And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?
Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.

I am a huge fantasy fan and this doesn't sound like my kind of book, but a adore J.K. Rowling and I really liked her writing style in  Harry Potter so I think I will give it a try.

What do you think about the new book? Do you like it? Would you read it?
