          Thank you

“He smelled like a sultry summer storm—cool, refreshing rain, sweltering, hot wind, and charged, electric thunder—all rolled up into one extremely enticing vampire being.”
     A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

Where to buy: ReVamped by Ada Adams

This book was better than I expected. Don’t think for a moment that just because is a vampire book it will be like the others you’ve read. This is different; Ada Adams took the vampire’s myth to another level. It combines paranormal with just a little bit of Sci-Fi. Mad scientists work with vampires to rule the world and vampires are actually out and proud, treated as celebrities. I loved how the action of this book is set in the future and the vampires showed themselves to the human kind in 2012. Vampires even have jobs and no longer hide in the dark and some of them are even weak and not so good looking. I guess there is not a universal rule in which after a human gets turned instantly becomes all sexy and hot, it keeps it normal and a little bit closer to reality. In fact it was easy read this book as non-fantasy and fantasy as well. The story was basically about a normal (partially normal) girl raised by her father as a warrior and except for all the guardians and her nanny she pretty much lacked normal teenage connection. It was fun to be in Dawn’s mind while trying to figure out how to act around boys since there was no need until now.
Now speaking about Dawn, I am always happy to read about powerful characters especially female one. Except for two or three times in which she needed to be saved she is one hell of a kick ass chick and there were moments in which I thought that she will not make it in one piece, but she did.
I was shocked by the twist that lay behind Dawn’s birth and mother. I certainly did not expect and I could tell you but I’m evil like that and you must read the book to find out.
About the love triangle, as always I don’t see one. Of course there are Ethan and Sebastian and it was obvious that they both have a thing for Dawn, but I could see the connection between her and Sebastian and I thought that there was something wrong with Ethan from the moment they met. Still I have to say that I liked the way Ethan changed from the beginning of the book, where he was all confident and cool, in the middle where he was almost vulnerable, emotionally speaking, even damaged and in the end where he was … normal, when there wasn’t any reason to hide.
Moving along my four favorite characters from the book are the newbies: Brooke, Sophie, Hunter and Seth, they are all vampires and are awfully at being so, still Dawn’s job is to train them to be the protectors of Angel Creek. It was nice to see all the not so perfect and not so powerful vampires being instructed to act like real ones. You could definitely see an evolution in their skills and in the way they almost ended up caring about each other, making them a great team.

I am sorry that I couldn’t finish ReAwakened, but I started it and trust me that is getting better. I will finish it and I will post a review a.s.a.p. so stay nearby.
Meanwhile here is the cover and an introduction for ReAwakened.

ReAwakened by Ada Adams
Becoming a vampire guardian was Dawn Fairchild’s ticket out of the Scarlet House. Fresh off a successful mission, life in Angel Creek should have been great. But when her sort-of-maybe-boyfriend, Sebastian, disappears on a quest to help a beautiful vampire from his past, Dawn finds herself amidst a web of danger, lies, and deceit.
Joining forces with Razor, an enigmatic rebel lacking both a verbal and a physical filter, and her band of Misfits—Brooke, Sophie, Hunter, and Seth—Dawn is thrust into a race against the clock to solve the mystery surrounding brutal Born kidnappings and come to terms with the sudden discovery of her own unique powers. With time ticking away and Born vampires’ lives in jeopardy, it quickly becomes evident that someone—or something—desperately wants Dawn and is willing to shed any amount of blood to get her.
Dawn has only one chance to face her demons and overcome all obstacles standing in her way as she embarks on the biggest mission of her life—one that threatens a deadly outcome for all involved.
