Full Schedule of the Love Lines Blog Tour

Guest Post - Author Diana Nixon

A few words about my books

Hi everyone! Today is the first day of my Blog Tour. I’m very excited and a little worried:) It’s actually the first time I’m doing a Book Tour and frankly, I thought I would never be able to do it on my own! But thank God, I have so many good friends and readers who helped me find the bloggers and schedule the stops my books will have during the next 25 days. I hope you will enjoy following the Tour as much I enjoyed writing the books of the Love Lines series that this event is dedicated to. For now the series has three books, including a short story named From Scratch that was published last week. There will be three more books about Eileen and Christian, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy their adventures and love:) I have already started writing the next book of the series and I will announce its title and the description very soon!
So Love Lines was my debut fantasy novel and even now I can’t believe it’s published:) No matter how many problems I faced to get it published, I love this story and it will always take a very special place in my heart.
On the one hand, working on Songs of the Wind was much easier, because it was my second book and I tried to take into consideration all the mistakes I’d made writing LL and make this new book even better than the first one:) It was also the first time I let the world read my poems! They have become an essential part of the story and they reflect those things I couldn’t describe using simple sentences.
On the other hand, Songs of the wind was a very hard book to write, because it was filled with so many different emotions I couldn’t but feel myself. I should also confess that I still haven’t found time to sit and read my books without thinking about making more changes:) But I guess I will never be able to stop criticizing my works, no matter how many good reviews I receive. The only thing I know for sure is that I will keep doing my best to write more good books:)
From Scratch was another challenge for me. Starting Love Lines I didn’t know I would write this separate story. But some time later I realized there were things I wanted Evan to say from his own POV. From Scratch turned out to be a short story about his failed romance with Tara. It doesn’t mean however that they will never find their happiness. I promise they will! With or without each other. But you will have to read the whole LL series to find it out:) Besides, I’m not ready to let Evan go, so be sure he will stay with us till the end:) And I already know I will miss him a lot when the series is over!:)
I’m more than happy to admit that the list of my Romanian readers is growing every day! Thanks to Amina Black and other bloggers, spreading the news about my works, I’ve found many friends and fans in Romania.  And I was so happy to receive a handmade notebook from Amina, inspired by my Love Lines novel! It was one of the best Christmas presents I got this (or shall I say LAST:)) year! Well, anyway I liked it a lot and I hope one day I will be able to meet Amina and other Romanian readers in reality:) Wish you all a great day, follow the Tour and enjoy reading my books!
Sincerely yours
Diana

Review: The Forever Gate 2 by Isaac Hooke

The Legend Continues...

Ten years after the end of Book 1, Hoodwink's daughter Ari receives a message from the father she believed long dead.

Shocking events are set in motion...

If you haven’t got the chance to read the first book, The Forever Gate is free on amazon until January 27th, so don’t miss it. Also if you want to see my review for the first book, here it is: The Forever Gate Review.

My Review:

Ten years have passed from the presumed death of Hoodwink and Ari, his daughter struggled all this time to keep all the Users together. She was technically still young, but her powers wilted her body and it had become harder to hide. Until one day, when she receives a surprising sign from her father. If you’ve read the first book and reached the part when the author gave you the sneak peak of the second volume, this is what Ari receives from her dead father:'

“Told you I'd come back.”

And so I started the second book, doubting along with Ari that Hoodwink could really be alive. After the heartbreaking ending of the first book I wished it to be true and I don’t know if this could be defined as spoiler, but here is goes: Hoodwink was alive, he returned but as something else.

Still, this book follows only Ari, guided at first by her father. Hoodwink helps her see the real world, what is behind The Gate and manages to move her in a cold place which is supposed to be the reality. That other world was unexpected. After I finished the first book I tried to come with multiple theories, but never thought about that. Anyway, that world was not safer than the other one and both of them were in danger to be destroyed. After Ari is “restored” (or reset? Call it as you wish, but she was her age again) she is send back along with Tanner to change the world.

Ari is reckless at first, she is definitely brave like her father, but she tends to prove herself very often. She deviates from the plans and because of that they are all captured. She is forced to face her past, her ex-husband, the mayor and while doing that she is almost destroyed. Tanner acts like an anchor, he is constantly the one that tries to stop her from doing stupid things and he is always there for her, keeping a close eye on her.

The Villain:
No demon, vampire or werewolf is more dangerous than a man with absolute power. Jeremy is insane, he controls everyone and somehow he has the power to do it. I actually can’t find words to explain how sick he is, how much he enjoys killing and controlling. People fear him for what he can do, what he is capable of. He actually scared me too. He is that kind of character from which you never know what to expect.
But soon we learn that he might not be the most dangerous thing in the city and bigger enemies are on their way.

** I received this book as an ARC for my blog in exchange of an honest review.**
