Monday, April 15, 2013
It is here and it's beautiful and I will dare to say that is my favorite cover since it has my favorite character on it: Evan!!!

Our lives are a cascade of events that pass faster than we would like them to. Time changes everything. Our habits, our views, our circle of friends. But there is one thing that remains the same over the years.
Our memories.
Through them we cherish the most unforgettable moments of our history. And they also retain some things that can't be forgotten….
But one day you realize that yesterday should be left in the past. Because tomorrow your new life begins, and you go back to the drawing board.
A love story of Evan Murray and Tara Mackenzie.
A story that should last forever….
But no one knows when forever ends….

Chapter 1. Amulets
Eileen
“For God’s sake, Eileen! He’s my brother!” Amanda shouted, scaring the hell out of me.
I turned around abruptly. “What did I do?”
“You THINK!”
“Oh… oh! I’m sorry, Honey.” My cheeks turned pink. “I didn’t mean it. I keep forgetting about the bond.”
“Yeah, I can see that.” Amanda shot me another angry glance and got back to packing her suitcase.
She and I had been best friends for ages. We graduated from the same school and entered the same University. Not that we had much choice about the last one.
Being born gifted, we had to go to Dever — a closed university for people like us. Its students possess different supernatural powers from seeing the future, to healing people. There are also those whose specialty is magic. And I am one of them. But in addition to the magical powers inherited from my father, I can control all the natural elements. It’s a rare and a very dangerous combination that I have to live with every day.
Apart from being my best friend, Amanda is my boyfriend’s sister. And her unique talent is reading minds. Or to be exact, she can read only two minds — Evan’s and mine.
Evan Murray is our friend from Dever who sacrificed a lot to save us from all those troubles we got ourselves into because of our powers. Amanda, Evan and I were bound by the ties of friendship. So now we can feel each other’s worries and mood changes, and we hate it a lot.
The story with magical ties started with me and Christian being bound by the spell of eternal love, many years ago.

Guest Post: Evan Murray - About my Hates and Likes

Sunday, March 24, 2013

Well, Evan Murray agreed to make a guest post on my blog celebrating Love Lines’ birthday and revealing a little more about himself. For all those that don’t know him, you can find him in the Love Lines series, as my favorite character and I am pretty sure that that I am not the only one. Just don’t try to deny it, ok?
If you don’t know him I will still advise you to read the guest post. You might end up adding him on your long list of fictional crushes.

Evan Murray: about my hates and likes.
Let’s start with a few facts about me. My birthday is January, 12th and I’m a Capricorn which explains a lot about my passionate nature:) My favorite colors are black and dark-blue. Favorite songs: It’s my life by Bon Jovi and Forever Young by JAY-Z.  My favorite quote is “What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger.”
Now, let’s get to the most interesting part:) Well, as you all know, my life has never been perfect. And I wish there were less screwed-up moments about it:) But I like my life anyway. It consists of both good and bad things. But all of them taught me something special; they showed me how important it is to cherish every single moment of my existence. Usually people don’t realize that what they think will last forever, may end up too soon, leaving behind nothing but regrets. And I hate regrets:) That’s why I try to live every day as if it was the last day of my life. Not that I’m planning to die tomorrow, or anything. But who knows… I want my old bones to have many good things to remember:)
I hate lies and betrayal. Though I realize that sometimes we have to lie to save those we love from breaking apart. Unfortunately there are moments when things go not exactly the way we want them to….
I’m a very honest person and I like people who don’t pretend being better than they really are. I think it’s better to be yourself no matter what. Because the only role that you can be perfect at playing, is the role of yourself.
Now, let’s talk about something more pleasant:) I like waking up late and staying in bed, watching TV or reading. I don’t remember last time I did that, but I still hope to spend one of my mornings like this:) Our life in Dever is far from being ideal. We do have super powers, but sometimes it feels like they bring us more tears than laughter. Well, hope springs eternal, so maybe one day everything will be different.
I like sensible clothes, and jeans is an essential part of my wardrobe. I hate tux, but sometimes I have to wear it:) I like space and light, so I hate when my room is lumbered up. I get rid of things I don’t use, and replace them with something more useful.
I like chocolate:) Yes, it’s one of my weaknesses. Eileen says that I would gladly sell my soul to the devil for a piece of chocolate. And she’s right:)
You probably want to know what kind of girls I like most:) Well, the outer beauty isn’t important to me. Though I do like pretty faces, long hair and curves. I’m a man after all, so I can’t help myself:) But if a beauty doesn’t have any inner charisma, she’s out of my way. I like girls with an attitude:) Those of embarrassing nature are not for me. I like when there’s a challenge in everything, including love and relationship.
Well, that’s all I can say about my hates and likes, though if you ask someone else about me, I’m sure they would gladly add something dirty:) Anyway, I wish you all a great day, and I’ll see you soon!

I dare you to tell me you didn't love it.

Review: From Scratch (Love Lines # 2.5) by Diana Nixon

Sunday, March 24, 2013
I need you to understand that I LOVE this series and this book, From Scratch, is all about Evan Murray, my favorite character. I tried really hard not to go in a full fangirl mode while writing the review and even though I had some OMG moments, I tried to keep my professional voice (yeah, right).
Don't forget that after the review I will have another post, a Evan Murray guest post. And trust me, you will want to read it. :D

Where to buy:  From Scratch (Love Lines # 2.5) by Diana Nixon

My Review:

Well, I wanted more of Evan and I got it. And even though I knew about his past with Tara, in From Scratch we get to see deep into their relationship: the beginning and unfortunately the end of it.
The story takes places in two different times: the past, in which he was a freshman in Dever College and in present times where he has to spend a proper Christmas with his new family. Of course it is mainly based on the past story thru a diary he kept. I found the way Diana choose to tell his story very interesting, that way we don’t have to walk too far from Eileen and Christian so we get to see parts of both worlds.

From the present
There is not much to say about it, except that is hilarious the way the bounds work among the trio and then there is Amanda who can hear some of the thoughts.
For those of you that haven’t read the second book (although I highly recommend), there might be a possible SPOILER ahead.
So basically Eileen feels whatever Evan fells and Evan senses Eileen emotions and on the other hand Christian feels Eileen’s. And if you already know Evan, you should know that he is not exactly a saint and his thought are not that pure. I just can’t wait for Diamond Sky to see more of the bound thing. Evan is my favorite character and I simply love his relationship with both Eileen and Christian. This should be interesting.

"For God's sake, Evan! Do you still remember that all your feelings reflect in me like in a mirror?!" Eileen groaned aloud. "So if you don't want to watch me throwing myself at Christian right in front of your eyes you'd better stop reading whatever you are reading there!"

SPOILER OVER

The past
It was definitely weird to see Evan in a relationship. Weird in a good way. He still got to be flirty with Tara of course. How else could she fall for him, if he didn’t stand out, like he always does: with smart remarks and just a tiny towel to cover him up.
When they first meet I didn’t know to react. That was one hot scene, but it was also hilarious due to the confusion. Anyway, great way to meet someone, Tara.  She sure got his attention.

"So you think it's better to tell him about me throwing myself at his half-naked brother in his own room?"

I liked the idea. "I'd rather say at his TOTALLY naked brother. If you hadn't noticed there wasn't anything under that towel, except for...."

"That's enough, Evan!"

And even though they tried to stay away from each other, the chemistry was just there and for one brief moment I even felt sorry for Kevin. Evan described Kevin’s feelings as being real, he was truly in love with Tara, but they just fell apart and she was starting to have feelings for Evan.
As for their time together, Evan and Tara were perfect, just like Eileen and Christian are. Their love was strong and grew even stronger over the years. I was really sad when they had to end it. And even though she explained why, there is still hope. Right? Right, Diana?
