Doctor Who Epic Speeches and Quotes

Thursday, April 25, 2013

There is no secret, I LOVE Doctor Who. I don’t know whether this is a good think or a bad one, but I like it. I am watching for a couple of years and I could only manage to see the new series (2005 - present) and the movie.

So I am familiar with Doctors #8, #9, #10 and #11 and I think I am the only person in the world that can’t pick a favorite. Each of the actors brought something new in the character and I enjoyed the variety of the doctors, the different personalities although it was supposed to be the same person … ehem alien.

The show has some strong scenes with brilliant dialogue and some of the best speeches. Well, I thought I could throw some of my favorite quotes here.

1. "Oh you like to think you’re a god. But you’re not a god, you’re just a parasite. Eat now, the jealousy and envy and longing for the lives of others. You feed on them. On the memory of love and loss and birth and death and joy and sorrow. So…so. Come on, then. Take mine.

Take my memories, but I hope you’ve got a big appetite because I have lived a long life and I have seen a few things. I walked away from the last great time war. I marked the passing of the Time Lords. I saw the birth of the universe and I watched as time ran out moment by moment until nothing remained. No time, no space, just me!

I walked in universes where the laws of physics were devised by the mind of a mad man. I’ve watched universes freeze at creation’s birth. I have seen things you wouldn’t believe. I have lost things you will never understand. And I know things. Secrets that must never be told, knowledge that must never be spoken. Knowledge that will make parasite gods blaze!

So come on, then! Take it! Take it all, baby! Have it! You have it all!"

2. “Hello, Stonehenge! Who takes the Pandorica, takes the universe, but, bad news everyone, ‘cause guess who! Ha! Listen, you lot you’re all whizzing about. It’s really very distracting. Could you all just stay still a minute because I AM TALKING!
Now the question of the hour is, “Who’s got the Pandorica?” Answer: I do. Next question: Who’s coming to take it from me? Come on! Look at me! No plan, no back-up, no weapons! Oh, and something else I don’t have: Anything to lose! So! If you’re sitting up there in your silly little spaceships with all your silly little guns and you’ve got any plans on taking the Pandorica tonight, just remember who’s standing in your way! Remember every black day I ever stopped you and then, and then… do the smart thing: Let somebody else try first.

3. “I'm old enough to know that a longer life isn't always a better one. In the end you just get tired. Tired of the struggle. Tired of losing everyone that matters to you. Tired of watching everything turn to dust. If you live long enough, Lazarus, the only certainty left is that you'll end up alone.”

4. “Such a lonely little boy. Lonely then and lonelier now! How can you bear it?”
-Reinette Poisson-

5. “Because I've seen him. He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever... He burns at the center of time and he can see the turn of the universe... And... he's wonderful.
- Tim Latimer-

6.” There was a war. A Time War. The Last Great Time War. My people fought a race called the Daleks, for the sake of all creation. And they lost. We lost. Everyone lost. They're all gone now. My family. My friends. Even that sky. [reminiscent] Oh, you should have seen it! That old planet.... The second sun would rise in the south, and the mountains would shine. The leaves on the trees were silver, when they caught the light, every morning it looked like a forest on fire. When the autumn came, a brilliant glow though the branches.

“Love at first sight. I've always heard that said in movies or my favorite books but I never believed in it for a second. Death at first sight. That was much more my style. You know, the whole James Dean kind of thing. Live fast, die young sort of culture. Soon enough I would have experienced both.” - Max Valentine
...
“It’s crazy, your secret should be my kryptonite but it’s not. It seems to be the opposite.”
...
“You’re not short, just vertically challenged.”
...
“I was caught in her storm.   My beautiful rainmaker.”
...
“Maybe there was no defense against her with me. Maybe she was my kryptonite.”
...
“And part of me wants to embrace you and never let go, no matter how much you burn” - Sam
...
Burn Max! Let Go! - Mia
...
“His powers ARE who he is. Max IS fire. Don’t you get it Samantha? You run from what and who he truly is.” - Asia
